Nice little Chinese restaurant

Most expat magazines or websites you read will mainly review restaurants that can blend into a blur of mediterranean fare, all with an 85 RMB starter, a 298 RMB main course and some wine. If, like most expats, you do not have 600 RMB to spend on every single meal, then you will need to have a reliable list of local restaurants that can satisfy you (or cook at home – more on that later). Such places should ideally be small – why? Because any medium to large Chinese restaurant that is popular with Chinese people will have queues from 5pm.

One such small place is on Wukang Rd.

With an English, photo menu, low prices and simple choices, its a safe choice to pick at least once a month. This restaurant is the kind of place you might walk past and not even see, but it’s on the map below. For more information (in Chinese) and photos see this Wukang Rd. Chinese restaurant, in Dianping.

It’s just where ‘Former Residence of Yanfuqing’ is.
